Criminal Justice System Linking to Learning Disabilities

Many of us are aware that influences play a large part in learning, but few learn to accept that influences can guide us into disorders.

In this article, I’m going to brief you on the history of Criminal Justice to help you see how influences played a large part in bringing forth mental interruptions.

From the beginning of time, man was given the intuition to do what was right. After the first man and woman sinned, it brought about corruption, which brought in negative influences such as false religion and criminal justice. Cain is the first known man to commit a hideous crime against his own brother. This action set the example and led people to believe his mind was mentally deranged. None of us can make that judgment. Yet, later in time, the criminal justice system took it upon them selves to call judgment down on his fellowmen.

Starting with the leaders of the criminal division, we can review the Roman leaders. We can see that religion played a large part in criminal justice, since the leaders professed Christians. In this time, the justice system permitted martyr of individuals by crucifying them. This meant the people were strapped to a torture stake; tortured for hours and finally killed.

Later the criminal justice division continued this irrational and ill behavior by slaughtering people through hangings, mutilation, beheading and so forth. The criminal justice system laid out the plan that would later hinder the minds of millions.

How does this information link to learning disabilities? It links because we are looking at superior influences that displayed hatred and extended the hate down through the centuries. Our children grow up and once they go to school, they read the history books that inform them of hideous acts.

Our children are told not to act out violently, yet our law and political leaders are the major influences that promote violence and war. How does this affect the mind? It affects the mind, simply because when a child is learning he or she is comparing all the details to find answers to his or her many questions. If one area of interest outweighs the other area, then the child will learn more toward the heavy weight.

In other words, what we learn is what makes up our character. If we are learning violence is the answer, then our ability to learn is negative.

Learning is a consistent pattern, which is practiced, and it mostly is affected by examples. For example, if we use techniques that provide illustrations in our teaching strategies we will see better results.

If you stop to think, at the elementary grade level illustrations are used frequently to teach the children. You can see that observation and examples play a large part in learning. We know that this is a pattern in history, since Jesus is the first known man to illustrate meaning.

Do you see it now? Our children learn from the past and the future. If we are teaching our children that violence is wrong, then we need to show them that violence is wrong because we choose to avoid violence.

With this, we can move ahead and see that we need effective illustrations when we are working with children with learning disabilities. Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD) often struggle to learn since they too focus on history. These specially gifted people often have minds that rapidly surpass the normal. We can also consider Special Education and how it plays a part in learning disabilities.

Religion and Criminal Justice might be the root of our problems, but Special Education also has its bad influential teachings that hinder our children from learning. Recently, the schools that once started a child in Kindergarten have developed other strategies, which include Head start, Preschool, Young Fours and Young Fives. Sure, the strategy worked to a degree, but if you consider the details, you will see that it is a money and power scheme to a large degree that can hinder children from learning.

Our system has ruined the idea that right is right and wrong is wrong. Since, the corruption in religious power, justice, schools, and media has taking over to teach us right from wrong. Right went flying out the door and learning disabilities moved in!

For starters, you can start by throwing the flying disc one or two feet from you on the floor. Tell your dog to fetch it and if your pet obeys, give him praise or a treat. The entire learning experience should be fun for you and your dog.

When the dog learns to get the disc, it’s time to teach him to return the Frisbee to you. Some dogs return the Frisbee at once but some dogs are not fast learners. If your dog does not return the Frisbee, try to tempt him by presenting a new Frisbee. Tell your dog to return the Frisbee to you and when he comes towards you, toss the other Frisbee and get the first one. Repeat this procedure several times until the dog learns to return the Frisbee without being told.

Some dogs are really stubborn and if this happens, you will need a 30 feet training lead. When you toss the Frisbee, tell your dog to get it for you and gently pull the lead towards you. If the dog drops the Frisbee, stop pulling the lead and pick up the disc. Repeat the process over and over again.

When your dog learns to fetch the Frisbee, you can now play outside. Teach your dog to catch the Frisbee while on flight. When you toss the Frisbee, tell your dog ‘catch’. Some dogs can get it in a few tries while others do not. If you want to teach your dog how to play Dog Frisbee, be patient because it will take some time.

Many have made the observation that there is no other industry so eager to give themselves awards than Hollywood. This is an impressive list of awards and the show is really just getting a head of steam. Moving into its fifth year, the characters are fresh and the audience is growing each year if not each episode. And that last fact about the success of Entourage is no doubt what really matters to HBO and to the producers of the show.

To HBO and those charged with using the success of Entourage to generate revenue, awards do help a lot because they give credibility to what fans are saying about Entourage through their loyalty. HBO has a proud tradition of producing quality new shows which took it from just being a network that replayed movies to becoming a real network and a force in creative television. Awards like those that we just reviewed give HBO that "cred" it wants as a creative force that is just as worthy of consideration as the major networks.

Similarly, for the creative minds that make Entourage happen including the producers, writers and performers, awards look great on their resume. Even though none of the lead actors and actresses in Entourage are going to have any trouble getting work, awards lead to more roles in major movies or other prime television spots. And for performers, the real reward of doing good work is the chance to do more good work. We just hope that nobody associated with Entourage feels the urge to go seek other work too soon. We want to see this award winning comedy have a long and successful run for many years to come.

Dexter Character Maria LaGuerta

Lieutenant Maria LaGuerta is another enigma in Showtime’s Dexter. She is a strong commander of police officers and seems to have the natural ability to lead others and get the job done. You don’t see a lot of kindness from LaGuerta and while manipulative and mean at some times, you also see that she has a heart.

We learn early on that Lieutenant LaGuerta was not a top police officer. She was ordinary and in the middle of the pack until her last bust with friend, old lover and former partner James Doakes. Lieutenant LaGuerta shot to stardom because she knows to play the political game. In a press conference she knows how to get noticed and what to say.

Lieutenant Maria LaGuerta has an extreme dislike of Deborah Morgan and one reason is due to the fact that her father Harry Morgan was a great cop who was liked by almost everyone in the police department.

Harry Morgan’s ex-partner Captain Tom Matthews promoted Lieutenant LaGuerta but he dislikes her as much as Maria dislikes Deborah. With racial slurs or a smug grin when she fails, Maria is well aware that she is not one of his favorite people. LaGuerta knows that Deborah can get far in her police career thanks to the people her father knew.

Lieutenant LaGuerta shows that her top priority is to move up the food chain in the police department any way she can. The last case between Maria and Doakes is what propelled her career but no one is aware that Doakes deserved all of the credit. Lieutenant LaGuerta was praised and promoted while Doakes was not. For his part, officer Doakes holds no hard feelings against his old partner and boss. Had he complained about her promotion, he would only make himself look bad in the precinct.

At time it seems like Lieutenant LaGuerta is willing to let a case turn out badly rather than listen to the advice and evidence provided and found by Deborah Morgan. On the advice of Dexter, Deb explained that they should look for a refrigerated truck if they wanted to catch the serial killer in the first season of Dexter, but LaGuerta ignored Deb after embarrassing her in front of her fellow officers.

One Deborah and Dexter was proven to be correct about the truck, Captain Tom Matthews praised Deborah and told Lieutenant LaGuerta that she should also praise Deb for a job well done. Once Matthews leaves, the happy Deborah was shot down and verbally reprimanded by LaGuerta who told her that she had no right to look for the truck as officers should always follow instructions and let their commanders know there every move.

Lieutenant LaGuerta almost ruined her career up the law enforcement ladder when she once again disregarded evidence that was found by Deborah Morgan and fellow officer Angel Batista. LaGuerta believed that the security guard Tony Tucci on tape was the Ice Truck Killer but Morgan and Batista knew that there was someone off screen holding Tucci at gun point.

LaGuerta alerted the press that Tucci was the serial killer and had every officer looking for him. The real ice truck killer left a series of clues that included the severed hand and foot of Tucci. Captain Tom Matthews was only too happy to give her the good news and smirked as she tried to talk her way out of a mistake that could ruin her career.

After she tried to get revenge against Captain Matthews for taking her credit, Matthews demoted LaGuerta and placed a new female Lieutenant in her place. Partnered once again with Doakes, Maria seemed to learn from her mistakes.

Her replacement Esmee Pascal seemed like a strong capable woman like LaGuerta but it quickly becomes evident in season two that she is not as stable as she looks. Pascal begins to go off the rails as she suspects that her fiancée is cheating on her. As she begins to lose all control, Captain Matthews pulls LaGuerta aside to find out once and for all if Pascal can still do her job. LaGuerta only needed to say no and she would have gotten her old job back.

The former Lieutenant LaGuerta explains that she will not bring down Pascal based on a few rumors, as she was also subjected to sexism when she was in charge. Captain Matthews promotes LaGuerta anyway and we find out that Pascal’s fiancée was cheating on her and the other woman was LaGuerta.

When choosing a contractor, whether it is for a large or small job make sure that you see their certificates and the materials that they are using before the job is started as when it is in progress and you decide you don’t like their way of doing things, they still have the right to charge for the work that they have done so far!
