A carpentry career takes work and planning. Competencies and skills have to be built following a certain period of time. And just like any other career, success in this field also depends on the core competencies developed as one starts on the job. Certain competencies need to be developed as each carpentry task in different areas of work can be somewhat different. But usually, most of them involve the same basic steps. Ironically our Department of Education hinders children from the start of school by (forcing) them to comply with the rules and regulations of a controlling system. Children grow up with parents that teach them how to behave, think, and feel. It is all in accordance to their upbringing (beliefs) and the child moves ahead until he walks in the door of the public school system.

Thus, his or her beliefs are reversed, since they now believe according to someone else’s standards. We just can’t win in a world filled with unrelenting believes. It seems virtually impossible to stay afloat when superiors control us. Leaders include the schools, law, politics, and even religious leaders.

The influences can create a chaotic mind and torture the minds for decades, since the world is never changing in their actions. Now we must look at an entirely new law to govern our own mind and avoid the difficulties that others send our way.

The dictionary contains thousands of words that have many different meanings. For example, deadlines are dates in which a publication is expected. On the other hand, deadlines are fences around a prison walls. If a prisoner steps over that deadline he or she is subject to be shot by the wardens. Therefore, we must learn the meaning of words before we can understand what the words mean.

One individual that spent five years in prison may misinterpret deadlines if a person is explaining in vague definition. For example, if I do not make that deadline I am in trouble. If a person spent time in prison, the person may understand the deadline as a potential threat, since he or she spent time in prison.

Therefore, the meaning is not clear. Another example can be seen when we consider the words assertive and aggressive. One person may misunderstand the terms or definitions when they encounter a person asserting them self. For example, assertive means to speak out boldly with great confidence, while aggressive individuals may speak out bold.

Aggressive does not mean that a person is violently acting out when he or she feels aggressive; rather it means that the person is defending his or her rights.

Often an aggressive person feels his or her emotions were attacked, thus acting out boldly.

This is all linked to beliefs, which is a factor in learning. Living in a controlled world, we all have hindrance that comes our way. The hindrance prevents us from understand a meaning.

Facts play a large part in learning. Since we all grow up and observe the different influences about us. For example, if a child grows observing friends that are polite, this child is learning behaviors patterns from his or her influences.

Learning falls into place. However if a child sees polite people and is approached by adults claiming that the child is too passive then we see a rewind fall into place.

The child knows the rewards that politeness brings, but does not know the boundaries of polite. As you can see this child is confused, since his observation taught the child to behave in accordance to the majority of influences.

If an adult approaches the child’s passive behaviors incorrectly, this is where disability steps in. Since the child now feels inadequate.

Underestimating observation over teaching can prove disastrous if the observed actions were clearly a good behavior situation. I am a firm believer that observation goes further than words. However, when a person is confused the dictionary and thesaurus is the best teachers.

The tactic not only promotes self-talking, but it enforces the mind to elaborate on the meaning of each word.

My child suffers Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) and as he observed me, he too picked up the dictionary and began his journey to understanding. It has taught him that learning means that his confidence is in tact, since not many individuals can disrupt his mind.

The Blurry Reality of Entourage

Many times in the arts the lines between reality and fiction blur to where you are not sure if you are looking at an artistic representation of truth or a factual presentation that has artistic merit. The HBO show Entourage is such a work of art that is not a parody of Hollywood but it is not a report about Hollywood. Entourage is a story that happens in a fictional Hollywood that is very, very similar to the real Hollywood. In fact, the imagined Tinsel Town of Hollywood is so close to reality that the lines between real and imaged sometimes disappear entirely.

Much about Entourage borders on stereotype and morality play. The character of Vincent Chase who is the core of the show is very much an amalgam of many of the most striking working actors of our time. In Vincent you can see the striking good looks of a George Clooney or a Brad Pitt but the flamboyance of a Tom Cruise combined the with explosive career potential of a Johnnie Depp. The almost impossible good looks of those actors all point right at Vincent to say, yes, he is shining a light on these popular Hollywood icons.

The close link to reality is made more dramatic because the core of Entourage is about four close friends from Queens going to Hollywood to have adventures and reach for stardom. The actors who play the primary characters in Entourage, Kevin Dillon as Johnny "Drama" Chase, Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold, Jerry Ferrara as Turtle, Adrian Grenier as Vincent Chase and Kevin Connolly as Eric Murphy are young actors from Queens and Entourage is their big break to stardom in many cases. The similarities are both eerie and lend to a reality to their performances because in many cases, they are not acting. These characters are who they are.

The parallel universes continue in the guest appearances by many of Hollywood's best known young actors and actresses. Very often, the plot calls for these performers who appear as themselves to be eagerly seeking the chance to appear with Vincent on the hottest new show of the season where they can be shamelessly self-referential in their dialog. Meanwhile each of these guest stars ARE appearing on the hottest new show of the season (Entourage) where they are shamelessly self-referential of their previous achievements.

Entourage is in many ways a very unique show. It has been compared favorably to Sex and the City and that’s not a bad comparison in that it is an HBO production and in some ways HBO was preparing the show to fill that niche as Sex and the City began to move toward its natural conclusion. But besides being a fast paced show based on glamorous people leading glamorous lives, there are real differences between the shows. The most obvious one is that Entourage is full of warmth and relationships. The strength of the show lies in the strong male bond between the friends that is always what Vincent relies on to help him stay grounded in his quest for greatness.

But like Sex and the City, Entourage is tremendous fun and full of adventure and excitement for the viewers. The inside jokes and the almost eerie disappearances of the lines between reality and fiction that so often happen on Entourage are buried in the fabric of the show so well that it is very likely that the fans either don't know about them or don't care. What they care about is the growth of this core set of characters who, despite their love of fun and wild living, are guys with hearts of gold. And that is what makes the audience love them and love Entourage as well.

Dexter Character Rita Bennett

We first meet Rita Bennett played by actress Julie Benz in the first episode of Showtime’s Dexter. We learn that Dexter’s adopted sister Deborah “Deb” Morgan introduced them after she saved Rita’s life during a domestic violence incident involving Rita’s husband.

Deb Morgan has no idea that her brother Dexter is a serial killer and she only sees the good in him. After seeing how broken Rita has become, she introduced the two as she knew that her adopted brother was a great guy who would never hurt the abused Rita.

For his part, Dexter appreciates the relationship with Rita. She’s emotionally broken and unstable at first and that was just fine with Dexter. After the repeated abuse and rapes of her husband, Rita just wanted someone who nice to her and two children, daughter Astor and son Cody.

Dexter was perfect because he was undemanding in every aspect of their relationship. Rita was put off of sex due to her husbands past rapes and Dexter liked that because he felt that sex was “undignified”.

Rita Bennett is an enigma because she appears weak most of the time and she is, however if you push her enough, you will eventually find that she does have a backbone. Rita lets you see the woman she would have been if not for the abuse of her husband Paul Bennett.

At first, Dexter appreciated his small relationship with Rita because he figured that she was too damaged inside to notice that he was far from normal. Although Dexter claims that he has no feelings and cares about no one, you see that he cares for Rita’s children and they love having him around.

When Paul Bennett is freed from jail earlier than expected, he begins to cause new problems for Rita and Dexter is less than happy about it. Even though he claims to have changed, Paul still has violent outbursts and is extremely jealous of Dexter being around his family. After Paul claims to love his children while simultaneously threatening Rita, Dexter puts a plan in motion to keep Paul away from Rita, Cody and Astor.

Rita is both strong and weak at times. She stands firm against her husband and does not want him around the children unless he can show that he has changed from the cocaine addicted abuser that he was. When he comes to her home drunk, she doesn’t take his abuse. She instead fends him off with a baseball bat to the head.

On the other hand, her next door neighbor begins to ruin her times at home when her dog barks all day and night. Dexter tried and failed to talk the woman into quieting the dog or having it transferred elsewhere and Rita paid her a short visit. It became quite clear that the neighbor is aware of Rita’s abused past.

The neighbor laughs and throws verbal jabs at Rita as she finds it ironic that Rita could not stand up to her drug using husband, but wants to stand up to others. Rita eventually creates a plan with Dexter that consisted of kidnapping the noisy dog and giving him to a fellow coworker whose kids wanted a pet.

Next to her marriage to Paul Bennett, Rita’s mother Gail is another cause of her daily stress. One has to wonder if Rita’s overbearing mother made her susceptible to Paul’s abuse in the past. In season two of Dexter, Gail comes to visit Rita after she received the bad news about Paul.

We learned that the relationship between mother and daughter was always strained but it reached its breaking point when Rita married Paul against her mother’s wishes. Gail refused to visit Rita and feels that her daughter got what she deserved for ignoring her advice and demands about Paul. Gail is also suspicious of Dexter but it’s only because she feels that Rita is bad at picking the men in her life.

Gail began taking over Rita’s life and sucking the joy out of her grandchildren with extra strict rules. She also forbids them from calling Dexter. Rita finally shows that she is tough by standing up to her mother after she insulted the children. Rita finds out that her mother wanted to live with her because she was fired from her career as a teacher. Rita realizes that she is not the only one that can’t put up with her mother. Gail is just an unpleasant person to deal will.

After the first man and woman sinned, it brought about corruption, which brought in negative influences such as false religion and criminal justice. Cain is the first known man to commit a hideous crime against his own brother. This action set the example and led people to believe his mind was mentally deranged. None of us can make that judgment. Yet, later in time, the criminal justice system took it upon them selves to call judgment down on his fellowmen.

Starting with the leaders of the criminal division, we can review the Roman leaders. We can see that religion played a large part in criminal justice, since the leaders professed Christians. In this time, the justice system permitted martyr of individuals by crucifying them. This meant the people were strapped to a torture stake; tortured for hours and finally killed.

Later the criminal justice division continued this irrational and ill behavior by slaughtering people through hangings, mutilation, beheading and so forth. The criminal justice system laid out the plan that would later hinder the minds of millions.

How does this information link to learning disabilities? It links because we are looking at superior influences that displayed hatred and extended the hate down through the centuries. Our children grow up and once they go to school, they read the history books that inform them of hideous acts.

Our children are told not to act out violently, yet our law and political leaders are the major influences that promote violence and war. How does this affect the mind? It affects the mind, simply because when a child is learning he or she is comparing all the details to find answers to his or her many questions. If one area of interest outweighs the other area, then the child will learn more toward the heavy weight.

In other words, what we learn is what makes up our character. If we are learning violence is the answer, then our ability to learn is negative.

Learning is a consistent pattern, which is practiced, and it mostly is affected by examples. For example, if we use techniques that provide illustrations in our teaching strategies we will see better results.

If you stop to think, at the elementary grade level illustrations are used frequently to teach the children. You can see that observation and examples play a large part in learning. We know that this is a pattern in history, since Jesus is the first known man to illustrate meaning.

Do you see it now? Our children learn from the past and the future. If we are teaching our children that violence is wrong, then we need to show them that violence is wrong because we choose to avoid violence.

With this, we can move ahead and see that we need effective illustrations when we are working with children with learning disabilities. Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD) often struggle to learn since they too focus on history. These specially gifted people often have minds that rapidly surpass the normal. We can also consider Special Education and how it plays a part in learning disabilities.

Religion and Criminal Justice might be the root of our problems, but Special Education also has its bad influential teachings that hinder our children from learning. Recently, the schools that once started a child in Kindergarten have developed other strategies, which include Head start, Preschool, Young Fours and Young Fives. Sure, the strategy worked to a degree, but if you consider the details, you will see that it is a money and power scheme to a large degree that can hinder children from learning.

Our system has ruined the idea that right is right and wrong is wrong. Since, the corruption in religious power, justice, schools, and media has taking over to teach us right from wrong. Right went flying out the door and learning disabilities moved in!

Dexter Character Maria LaGuerta

Lieutenant Maria LaGuerta is another enigma in Showtime’s Dexter. She is a strong commander of police officers and seems to have the natural ability to lead others and get the job done. You don’t see a lot of kindness from LaGuerta and while manipulative and mean at some times, you also see that she has a heart.

We learn early on that Lieutenant LaGuerta was not a top police officer. She was ordinary and in the middle of the pack until her last bust with friend, old lover and former partner James Doakes. Lieutenant LaGuerta shot to stardom because she knows to play the political game. In a press conference she knows how to get noticed and what to say.

Lieutenant Maria LaGuerta has an extreme dislike of Deborah Morgan and one reason is due to the fact that her father Harry Morgan was a great cop who was liked by almost everyone in the police department.

Harry Morgan’s ex-partner Captain Tom Matthews promoted Lieutenant LaGuerta but he dislikes her as much as Maria dislikes Deborah. With racial slurs or a smug grin when she fails, Maria is well aware that she is not one of his favorite people. LaGuerta knows that Deborah can get far in her police career thanks to the people her father knew.

Lieutenant LaGuerta shows that her top priority is to move up the food chain in the police department any way she can. The last case between Maria and Doakes is what propelled her career but no one is aware that Doakes deserved all of the credit. Lieutenant LaGuerta was praised and promoted while Doakes was not. For his part, officer Doakes holds no hard feelings against his old partner and boss. Had he complained about her promotion, he would only make himself look bad in the precinct.

At time it seems like Lieutenant LaGuerta is willing to let a case turn out badly rather than listen to the advice and evidence provided and found by Deborah Morgan. On the advice of Dexter, Deb explained that they should look for a refrigerated truck if they wanted to catch the serial killer in the first season of Dexter, but LaGuerta ignored Deb after embarrassing her in front of her fellow officers.

One Deborah and Dexter was proven to be correct about the truck, Captain Tom Matthews praised Deborah and told Lieutenant LaGuerta that she should also praise Deb for a job well done. Once Matthews leaves, the happy Deborah was shot down and verbally reprimanded by LaGuerta who told her that she had no right to look for the truck as officers should always follow instructions and let their commanders know there every move.

Lieutenant LaGuerta almost ruined her career up the law enforcement ladder when she once again disregarded evidence that was found by Deborah Morgan and fellow officer Angel Batista. LaGuerta believed that the security guard Tony Tucci on tape was the Ice Truck Killer but Morgan and Batista knew that there was someone off screen holding Tucci at gun point.

LaGuerta alerted the press that Tucci was the serial killer and had every officer looking for him. The real ice truck killer left a series of clues that included the severed hand and foot of Tucci. Captain Tom Matthews was only too happy to give her the good news and smirked as she tried to talk her way out of a mistake that could ruin her career.

After she tried to get revenge against Captain Matthews for taking her credit, Matthews demoted LaGuerta and placed a new female Lieutenant in her place. Partnered once again with Doakes, Maria seemed to learn from her mistakes.

Her replacement Esmee Pascal seemed like a strong capable woman like LaGuerta but it quickly becomes evident in season two that she is not as stable as she looks. Pascal begins to go off the rails as she suspects that her fiancée is cheating on her. As she begins to lose all control, Captain Matthews pulls LaGuerta aside to find out once and for all if Pascal can still do her job. LaGuerta only needed to say no and she would have gotten her old job back.

The former Lieutenant LaGuerta explains that she will not bring down Pascal based on a few rumors, as she was also subjected to sexism when she was in charge. Captain Matthews promotes LaGuerta anyway and we find out that Pascal’s fiancée was cheating on her and the other woman was LaGuerta.

The first thing you'll need to do when brewing is to sanitize everything that will come in contact with your unfermented beer. It will take time for the sanitizer to do its job, so don't rush things.

Dexter Character James Doakes

During the first half of the pilot episode, we learn that Sgt. James Doakes dislikes Dexter as much as LaGuerta dislikes Deborah Morgan. In a police station filled with law enforcement, Doakes is the only one who can see that something is not right about Dexter.

James Doakes can see that he has no emotions. He notices when Dexter stares just a little too long at a corpse or blood scene. He is serious and outspoken at all times but he never has a kind word for Dexter and constantly throws hate filled speech at the man he calls a lab geek.

Doakes has a mother and two sisters but he rarely visits them. We see this small side of his family in season one and the end of season two. He can be a good cop but he is hasty and will often feel that he’s right when he suspects someone of a crime.

As he demands that Dexter does his blood quickly, he also tells him that he knows the suspect is the killer and he doesn’t care what Dexter has to say about it. It turns out that Dexter was right about the man being innocent but that just makes Doakes despise him more.

Not a lot is known about Sgt. James Doakes past but we do know that he was in the military, he fought in a war or two and he may have been in Special Ops. His former partner is Lieutenant Maria LaGuerta and through a series of conversations they have during the first two seasons of Dexter, we learn that care about and respect each other and they were partners, friends and lovers.

In season one a policeman and his wife are murdered and we learn that the wife was cheating on her husband with Doakes. The wife’s brother and friends proceed to give Doakes a hard time and eventually set him up to be used as bait to catch the couple’s murderers.

Although James Doakes is a respected officer, others are aware that he has some secrets to hide. He has no problem abusing a prisoner or suspect and he has been in one too many questionable officer related shootings.

Sgt. James Doakes’ focus is constantly on Dexter Morgan and he never passes up an opportunity to give him a hard time. This lets you know that he is always watching Dexter and waiting for him to slip up. He knows that Dexter is odd, creepy and harboring dark secrets and he aims to find the truth. He realizes that when Dexter gives advice about a serial killer, he’s usually right. This makes Doakes even more suspicious of Dexter as he wonders how a lab geek could have so much knowledge on murderers.

Of all the strange reactions he notices about Dexter, his top concern is that Dexter seems to be lacking emotion. Crime scenes that will disturb even the most veteran officer, does not affect Dexter in the least. Doakes notices if Dexter looks at a body too long or smirks as he’s thinking to himself. It sometimes seems like he pays more attention to Dexter than the cases he’s investigating.

As the Ice Truck Killer case heats up, Doakes gets suspicious as Dexter seems to be in the middle of the investigation. After Deborah Morgan goes missing with her boyfriend Rudy, Doakes immediately suspects that Dexter knows more than he’s saying. The first physical confrontation between Dexter and Doakes, takes place at a loading dock where Dexter’s mother was murdered. By season two, the tension between these two characters begins to escalate.

Doakes spends most of season two tailing Dexter and digging into his past. After breaking into Dexter’s home and stealing his slides that contains a blood drop of each of his victims, Doakes soon becomes the suspect known as the Bay Harbor Butcher.

By putting all his time into investigating Dexter Morgan, Sgt. James Doakes eventually brings about his own downfall as Dexter has to put plans in motion to hide his secrets. Season two saw the last of Doakes as he dies in a mysterious cabin explosion.

Engorged Breasts

Within the first two to three days after you have given birth, you may discover that your breasts feel swollen, tender, throbbing, lumpy, and overly full. Sometimes, the swelling will extend all the way to your armpit, and you may run a low fever as well.

The causes

Within 72 hours of giving birth, an abundance of milk will come in or become available to your baby. As this happens, more blood will flow to your breasts and some of the surrounding tissue will swell. The result is full, swollen, engorged breasts.

Not every postpartum mom experienced true engorgement. Some women's breasts become only slightly full, while others find their breasts have become amazingly hard. Some women will hardly notice the pain, as they are involved in other things during the first few days.

Treating it

Keep in mind, engorgement is a positive sign that you are producing milk to feed to your baby. Until you produce the right amount:

1. Wear a supportive nursing bra, even at night - making sure it isn't too tight.

2. Breast feed often, every 2 - 3 hours if you can. Try to get the first side of your breasts as soft as possible. If your baby seems satisfied with just one breast, you can offer the other at the next feeding.

3. Avoid letting your baby latch on and suck when the areola is very firm. To reduce the possibility of nipple damage, you can use a pump until your areola softens up.

4. Avoid pumping milk except when you need to soften the areola or when your baby is unable to latch on. Excessive pumping can lead to the over production of milk and prolonged engorgement.

5. To help soothe the pain and relieve swelling, apply cold packs to your breasts for a short amount of time after you nurse. Crushed ice in a plastic bag will also work.

6. Look ahead. You'll get past this engorgement in no time and soon be able to enjoy your breast feeding relationship with your new baby.

Engorgement will pass very quickly. You can expect it to diminish within 24 - 48 hours, as nursing your baby will only help the problem. If you aren't breast feeding, it will normally get worse before it gets better. Once the engorgement has passed, your breasts will be softer and still full of milk.

During this time, you can and should continue to nurse. Unrelieved engorgement can cause a drop in your production of milk, so it's important to breast feed right from the start. Keep an eye for signs of hunger and feed him when he needs to be fed.

It was also around this time that adjacent land was purchased, leading to a promising expansion.

The tasting room at ABJ Vineyards is open only for weekends and the holidays. You also have the option of staying at the Vineyard Suite, which is located above the tasting room.

Anglim Winery

If you thought the two above mentioned wineries where new, you haven’t seen anything yet. The owners of the Anglim Winery starting making wine in their home, simply as just a hobby. It was until 2002 that the Anglim Winery was established.

The Anglim Winery is occasionally referred to as unique because it does not rely on estate vineyards. Instead, they partner with local growers. Although considered unique by some, this is a common practice in the area, especially for new wineries who are limited on space.

Although the Anglim Winery is “new,” its location isn’t. Its wine tasting room is located at the old and historic Paso Robles train station. Stuck fermentation

Stuck fermentation occurs when your beer fails to ferment to completion. This can result from the use of old yeast or poor ingredients. The best way to take care of this problem, is to prevent it from starting. To do this, you should:

1. Re-hydrate the yeast by adding it to some water and adding wort to the yeast an hour or more before you pitch. This will help ensure that your yeast is still active.

2. Use an all malt or a recipe that has a lot of it, as yeast needs nutrients to stay alive. Corn and sugar lack these nutrients. If your yeast still fails to survive, it cannot reproduce. For this very reason, distilled water shouldn't be used when making beer.

Under carbonation

If you've used the proper amount of priming sugar and your beer is still flat, it's probably due to the fact that you didn't properly rise the sanitizing solution from the bottles. If too much sanitizer is left in the bottles, it can kill the yeast, which results in flat beer. The only way to prevent this is to stop it from happening.

Over carbonation

Over carbonation can cause your beer to turn into a foam disaster. It can result from these causes:

1. Too much or uneven priming sugar. You should measure your primer carefully and dissolve it thoroughly in boiling water and allow it the proper time to cool. Before bottling, make sure to stir this into your beer.

In this article, I will separate learning disability, since some patients are misdiagnosed. Learning disabilities means the person might struggle to learn particular subjects, due to mental interruptions. The person will show continuous signs of learning disability. However, when a person struggles in one area of learning and not in other areas, disability is inappropriate in some instances.

When a person struggles in a particular area of scholastic skill it may well be the material that is hindering the learning. It could also be a belief that was cultivated that hinders the child from learning. For example, beliefs stem from religious roots, even if a person does not have a religious family background.

Religion is the number one source that brings about confusion, since at birth we are giving the gift of intuition and insight. This natural gift deteriorates down through the years since influences poses a large problem. Influences will break down beliefs even if the belief is fact. The learning tool for this problem is yet to be discovered. However, convictions can go a long way to break down influences.

I will not cover this area of concern, since my future book in the making will provide a wealth of details. However, influences and religion is the underlying root of most problems in the world. By no means am I discouraging religion, rather asking to consider the religious teachers carefully to avoid corrupted influences.

We were all created as individuals. When a child grows, influences, which are strong persuasive voices and behaviors, affect the child. If the child notices good or bad behaviors in influences, and notices a consistency of rewards coming to bad behaviors?

Dexter Character Harry Morgan

To keep his adopted son from being a cold and calculating murderer, Harry created a code. Dexter would kill only bad people, specifically people who took the lives of innocent victims, he would never get caught, Dexter would find concrete evidence that his victim was guilty, and he would be prepared were just a few of the rules that Dexter needed to learn and follow.

While Dexter is grateful to Harry, he often blames him as he feels that his whole life was being lived the way Harry wanted and not the way he would have liked. From his job to his relationship with Rita, he feels that Harry controls him even from the grave.

All scenes that include Harry Morgan are told from a flashback point of view. Harry and his wife are both long dead by the start of the Dexter series. Not much is known about Harry Morgan’s deceased wife as Harry was the driving force in Dexter’s youth.

In season one of Dexter we learn that Harry died from heart trouble that he had been fighting for a long time. By season two we learn that his real death was hidden deep in the police files and that Harry may have had a closet full of secrets that Dexter was unaware of.

Dexter’s first killing came shortly after Harry almost died. Harry knew a serial killer when he saw one and as he became sicker in the hospital, he admitted to Dexter that one of his nurses was an Angel of Mercy. A serial killer who murders their patients with various drugs, while convince themselves that they are sparing them from future pain. After Dexter kills the nurse, Harry made a good recovery and went home before he died at a later time.

Two questions will always arise when it comes to Harry Morgan’s parenting skills. Did Harry do the right thing by teaching Dexter to be a good serial killer who only takes the lives of bad people? Or should Harry have gotten Dexter the help he needed from a professional?

It is hard to answer the question as most people believe that a serial killer cannot be helped. They would keep killing regardless of the treatment they received. However, one has to wonder how hard Harry tried when it came to giving Dexter a good home. It sometimes felt as though Harry was simply waiting for Dexter to begin showing that he may be a serial killer instead of trying to prevent him from going in that direction to begin with.

Dexter learned from his adopted father that to fit in, all he has to do is pretend. Pretend you care and feel even if you’re empty inside. To be a good serial killer he would have to blend into the background and make sure that he never stands out.

Harry Morgan was a great cop but he may not have been the ideal parent. To some viewers Harry was an enabler. Instead of raising Dexter to know and understand that killing is wrong, he seemed to reinforce that it was ok if you avoided killing certain people, namely innocent ones.

Dexter often told himself that he could not do one activity or another because it would not pass the code of Harry. By season two Dexter realized that Harry had so many dark secrets of his own, that he would not be able to pass the very code he created.

Have you checked your stance lately? When playing Frisbee, you should have secure footing just like when you’re playing basketball, baseball, or football. With regular and constant practice, you will be more proficient in handling or throwing the flying disc. Try to throw the disc in various stances and determine which works best for you.

When doing the basic throw, put your thumb atop the Frisbee while the index finger is along the disc’s ridge. Your other fingers should be curled under the disc’s ridge. The ‘true pointer’ should be the index finger. The arms should move like an arc before the throw is made and you will only let go of the disc when the index finger is already pointing to the other player who will receive the disc.

When you’re about to let go of the Frisbee, you must do it with a ‘snap’ and it should be done when your hand is already chest high (preferably when it is angled to the ground. When there is low wind, this movement can generate a maximum distance throw; provided you released the disc good at a horizontal angle.

If you’re hoping to achieve more height, or probably more distance, try to throw the Frisbee from the underhand position. Grip the flying disc properly at your side and bring the disc up with an arc motion. Let the disc go when it is already in a horizontal position.

The underhand throw can be executed in various angles. You can try releasing the Frisbee at different angles until you find the move that works for you best. It would even be possible to throw the disc and have it come back to you, and it is called boomerang style. You can use this style if you’re playing alone.

But to really "attach" to fictional characters, we have to either identify that this character is like you or that he or she is like how you would like to be.

It is the "I would like to be that guy" appeal that is one of the big reasons the HBO series Entourage is such a big hit. Entourage takes us inside the world of Hollywood and the adventures of a great looking and successful young actor named Vincent Chase and the adventures of his friends and associates as well. So if you are like millions who are hooked on Entourage, it is probably because you love to think about Hollywood and the idea of seeing the inside of the exotic lifestyles movie stars must live is really fun and exciting.

Vincent Chase lives up to our fantasies of how it would be like to be a Hollywood big shot. He is rolling in money, handsome, has loads of great looking women and parties with his best friends nonstop. Of course, there are deeper issues going on within the plots of Entourage but it is the glamour and the bright lights and dazzle of a Hollywood lifestyle that draws us in and keep us coming back week after week. In that way, Entourage only accelerates our national obsession with Hollywood and all things related to movies, music and television.

From an emotional standpoint, there is a good side and a "dark side of the force" when it comes to enjoying the life of the "beautiful people" as it is depicted on Entourage. The good side is that be escaping our own lives for a half hour or so each week, the mind gets refreshed and you are more energized to make your own life as successful as you can make it. Psychologists are unanimous that the act of having some down time where we put our worries on the shelf for a little while is tremendously healthy for all of us. So taking half an hour and living in the world of Hollywood excitement enjoying Entourage can be seen as good therapy for most people.

The dark side of allowing yourself to disappear into a glamour life like Vincent Chase lives is that when you come back to your own life, it can look a little drab and depressing by comparison. That "I wish I was him" syndrome is pretty powerful and it is easy to want that so much that you don’t want to be you for a little while. Even if you have not experienced that "let down" when an Entourage episode is over, you can understand how it would happen.

The important thing to remember is that Entourage is fiction. Mark Wahlberg who is the executive producer on the show knows the real struggles and ups and down of trying to make it in Hollywood. But he also knows how to make a very entertaining show. So take heart that if there were a real Vincent Chase, his life would have a few drab and humdrum days too.

If you can just allow Entourage to give you that healthy escape that you might get from watching The Wizard of Oz or Pirates of the Caribbean, then you will get the good from it that good entertainment like Entourage provides. Just remember it is just a show and let the relaxation and fun you have watching Entourage send you back to work invigorated and ready to become the Vincent Chase of your world. Then come back next week to escape into Entourage for another half hour of glamour and fun.

Dexter Character Deborah Morgan

Deborah “Deb” Morgan is portrayed by actress Jennifer Carpenter and she is the loud and foul mouthed adopted sister of Dexter Morgan and daughter of the deceased Harry Morgan. Deb is a good person and she has the ability to be a great police officer but she has little faith in herself. She also has trouble moving up from working undercover as a prostitute and moving on to vice and homicides.

Like Dexter’s girlfriend Rita, Deb is both weak and strong. In the pilot episode, Dexter tells the audience that Deborah works hard to prevent other’s from seeing how vulnerable she is, while he tries to prevent them from seeing how vulnerable he’s not.

While she can rarely stand up for herself against her boss Lieutenant Maria LaGuerta, she is willing to stand up for her brother Dexter. Deb loves her adopted brother and will fight anyone who tries to bring harm his way.

Deborah Morgan loves her brother deeply but she also harbors a deep streak of jealousy that goes back to their childhood. While Harry Morgan was spending time teaching a young Dexter how to be the perfect serial killer, he often neglected his birth daughter Deborah and never gave any excuse for these exclusions.

Regardless for how she feels about Dexter she feels that others around her will always go to him first. In there teenage years, Harry Morgan would often take Dexter out to practice shooting his shooting skills but Deb was unaware that he was also teaching him how to be a neat killing machine. All she saw was her father leaving her alone while he took Dexter with him.

Tired of being ignored, Deb snuck out her father’s rifle to do some target practice and in concern for her welfare; Dexter reported her actions to their father. Less than pleased at being caught, punished and knowing that Dexter snitched; Deborah finally told her brother how she feels.

After explaining that he’s her brother, Deb exploded in anger and told Dexter that he is not her brother and Harry Morgan is her father no his. She also angrily wished that Harry had never brought Dexter into her home. Immediately after releasing her harsh feelings, Deborah knew she had hurt her brother but Dexter brushed it off along with her apologies. He has no feelings that she can hurt.

As adults, Deb and Dexter both work for the same Miami police station and she still feels that others place her second to Dexter. Even though he is not a police officer, someone will call for Morgan and once Deborah steps up, they let her know that they want Dexter not her services.

To Deb Morgan, Dexter is a wonderful person and great older brother. She knows that Rita Bennett is a great woman and mother and loves the fact that Dexter has a solid relationship. However, she is still alone and looking for that special someone to share her life with. Her loneliness really comes into focus during season one of Showtime’s Dexter after her most recent boyfriend turned out to be a married man.

When Deb met Rudy Cooper, a prosthesis creator, she was susceptible to his charm. With kind words and a caring front, he had Deborah believing that she had met the man of her dreams. From the day we are born, we have the ability to see, hear, smell, touch, and even relate to the people around us. A newborn baby can sense its mother when she is near. The baby has the ability in the womb and after birth to sense when a mother is sad, happy, depressed, tense and so forth. Therefore, we can see learning begins when the egg is futile.

If a child is reared by, a mother that suffers bipolar disabilities the child will learn to act out irrationally, since mother is an example. If the father is an alcohol, the child might learn to drink when the emotions are threatened. A child might even resort to alcohol if he or she feels happy for no apparent reason. The child may believe (as he or she was taught) that happiness is punishable.

What children observe and hear are examples that help determine the direction a child may adhere to in life. This does not mean that the child grew up in a dysfunctional home with parents that lack the ability to support the family. Rather, we have alcoholics, bipolar, mental illnesses, and other complexities in homes of all occupations.

There is not one person singled-out in life to suffer more than others do, so it appears. Once this child reaches the age to attend Head Start he or she will meet the person (s) that will teach them a new set of rules. The rules may include happiness is a good thing, while irrational thinking is bad.

Now the child is confused because mommy breaks out into uproar when stress hits and dad gets drunk every time he looses control. Dad appears happy under that mechanism that temporarily brings relief, but the child knows that the happiness is false pretense.

Therefore, the child evaluates the new teachers rules comparing them to the rules his parents forced him to believe. Where were his beliefs? How do his beliefs fall into the picture?

His beliefs are rarely seen because everyone that teaches us, teaches us to believe in accordance to their learning.

In this article, I’m going to tell you a story about a young child that grew up in a poverty-stricken home. The child was raised by a paranoid schizophrenia, and mothered by a woman that was defeated by the man she called her husband. The mother taught this child that boys were better than girls’ were since this is how she was forced to believe. The mother also let the child know that a child is to be seen, and never heard, and sometimes seeing the child is a waste of parental time.

The father taught the child that talking, crying, over happily, showing any emotions at all was a source of trouble. The child feared the father in that if she showed any emotions that angered him logically or illogically. She would reap punishment.

The young child was taught that education had no value, other than a system that was controlling the lives of others. To a degree, this man was right since the National Education Association is constructed to rule, rather than to focus on helping each child learn individual.

Later, as the child grew she observed children mocking, mimicking, criticizing, and hurting others. At the same time, she watched as the teachers stood by punishing the children that fought to protect their self against the bullies. She observed the leaders and how they behaved when complex problems presented self. The result was war!

Now the woman could have learned to act out as the people around her acted, but she had her own beliefs and this she stood firm that no one would tear her down. As you can see, this woman had a tremendous struggle ahead, since complexity was attempting to hinder her learning ability. Yet she learned by investigating, analyzing, comparing, contrasting, observing and so forth to find the facts to prove her stand in life. Now look carefully at this illustration and tell me.

What do you see or what you have learned from the story? Can you see that learning is effective when we stand up for what we believe based on facts to prove our allegations? If you cannot see, then continue the complexity of understanding learning disabilities.

HBO Has a Winner on its Hands in Entourage

HBO has really had a run of great TV shows that have not only helped their subscription levels, these shows have captured the imagination of the TV watching world even beyond the HBO audience. Such shows as The Sopranos and Sex and the City have captured such a wide appeal that they have enjoyed success in syndication on cable stations, even though it required some editing for language and some content to make them more accessible to the wider audience. It was worth it because the tradition of blockbuster shows has continued to the next generation. And the next generation will almost certainly include a little show called Entourage.

Entourage is the next in that long line of big hits following after the blow out success of The Sopranos. And just as The Sopranos took us into a completely new and fascinating world of organized crime, Entourage takes us into Hollywood in a way that is new and refreshing and that creates the atmosphere of "you are there" that is genuinely exciting for audiences.

The "entourage" that gives the show its name are the group of friends and associates of the lead character, Vincent Chase who has come to Hollywood from New York to seek his fame and fortune. Joining Vincent are his two best friends who came with him from New York, Turtle and Eric, Vince's half brother Johnnie Drama and Vince's high powered agent Ari Gold who add a lot of fun and energy to every scene he is part of. The mix of personalities and the chemistry of this small band of friends and associates is one of the big reasons for the success of the show. That is one of the fun aspects of Entourage as we are taken to every kind of party from a beer bash at Vincent's home to the high society Hollywood parties and wild orgies at the Playboy Mansion with Hef and all of the bunnies. The guys in the audience love the parties and the girls love the guys in Entourage. That’s a winning formula. The success of Entourage has attested to how much viewers enjoy living the Hollywood lifestyle vicariously through this diverse group of characters.

Through all excitement, the ups and downs, the victories and the heartbreaks of Vince's career in Hollywood as we see it each week on Entourage, he keeps his head and stays true to himself. Dexter Character Angel Batista

Angel Batista is a homicide detective who works closely with Dexter Morgan. Like everyone else, Angel is oblivious to Dexter’s dark side and has no idea that he moonlights as a serial killer at night. Dexter is not sure why officer Batista considers him a best friend, considering that he did nothing to build such a relationship.

Batista is a good cop, a great person and a best friend to the resisting Dexter. Like Deborah Morgan, Angel is quick to stand up for Dexter, especially against James Doakes as everyone is aware that he hates Dexter for reasons unknown.

When the series began, Angel Batista constantly talked about his family and more specifically his wife. He shows Dexter a four leaf clover ring that he plans to give her for their anniversary and talks about the wonderful relationship they shares.

When Batista goes to give his wife her present, we learn that they are separated; something that angel has constantly lied about to his colleagues who have no idea that the marriage is rocky. Angel and his wife are separated for three months when the series began. The separation occurred after Batista cheated on his wife and then told her about the affair because he’s too honest for his own good.

Dexter finds out that Angel is lying after he takes home a drunken Batista. The wife explains the situation and Dexter takes Angel back to his apartment to let him sleep off the liquor. In the morning Angel is back to his sunny persona and goes on to talk about his wonderful wife and their relationship. Dexter is glad to know that he is not the only one who wears a mask to hide the truth.

Angel’s honesty comes into play when he is partnered with Doakes. Although they were both chasing the same suspect, Angel was far behind Doakes when gunshots were fired. The suspect was dead and although Doakes gave his side of the story, Dexter’s blood analysis shows that Doakes may have been lying.

Angel trusts Dexter and knows that he’s a great blood expert. He also knows that Doakes was not telling the whole story. Faced with having to lie or tell the truth and ruin another cops career, Angel stayed true to his moral code and told Internal Affairs the truth as he knew it. Later Angel would find that the case against Doakes was dropped due to Special Forces and sensitive information. We never learn if Doakes unfairly killed the suspect or what really happened that day.

Angelo “Angel” Batista was nearly murdered during a run in with the Ice Truck Killer when he came too close to discovering serial killers identity. He hoped that the incident would get him back with his wife but she held firm to the fact that she is getting a divorce from him.

Truly separated from his wife, Angel continues to visit their young daughter while trying to move on with his life. Once he meets Lila Tournay, the ex-lover of Dexter and all around nut job, he begins to date her in hopes of gaining a sexual relationship. Angel refused to listen to Dexter when he explains that Lila is using him to get back at Dexter.

Angel Batista’s role was low key in season two until Lila had him falsely arrested for rape and assault. She would only drop the charges if Dexter breaks off his relationship with Rita and comes back to her. Besides his false arrest and problems with Lila, Angel worked hard with Deb and FBI agent Lundy to find out the identity of the Bay Harbor Butcher.

After he finds a case in which the Butcher killed a married couple, Angel pledged to Dexter that he would shake the butcher’s hand because the couple deserved to die for their crimes kidnapping and killing illegal immigrants who could pay their surprise fees. Talking to himself, Dexter thinks that Angel says that now but if he knew the real killer, he would not be all that pleased to congratulate him on a job well done as Angel is too honest.

I cannot think of the times I had to call law enforcements to help me deal with this child. Now, my youngest son was passive, observant, and quiet until he took enough from his older brother. As you can see hereditary does not fit in this story.

This leads me to believe and hold firm that the central nervous system, which is affected after abuse is the single largest key to unlocking the doors of ADHD. This information should push researchers to find answers to questions, no one has found to date. I see a pattern here that tells me that Attention Deficit Disorders may be invoked if a person endures trauma.

Finally, we can see that learning takes care, consideration, responsibility, and a lot of tough love to help these children learn.

There are a lot of reasons that Entourage on HBO is the kind of show that is easy to get hooked on. The Hollywood setting is one we all wonder about and get caught up in all the time. So by following the main characters, Vince, Johnnie, Eric, Turtle and the rest as they make their marks on the Hollywood system and as that system changes them is one of the reasons it is fun to follow the show from week to week.

The show is very well written with fun and intricate plots and dialog that keeps you riveted for each episode. Like any show you get hooked on, it is easy to find someone in the cast you connect with. The classic story of a group of headstrong guys taking on a new world is easy to like and each character is quirky and complicated which comes out the longer you hang in there and get to know them.

The plots mostly center around our hero, the main character Vincent Chase played by Adrian Grenier. He seems to be custom made for stardom so when he goes to Hollywood from New York, the various hoops he has to jump through to get the parts he wants is always a big part of the fun of the show. But his "entourage" of friends who come with him to Hollywood also provide many opportunities for side plots and great moments with the show as well.

The makers of Entourage do well at developing each character who is part of Vincent's story including his half brother Johnnie who also is an actor. So there is a natural tension as Vince experiences the success that Johnnie used to know but has eluded him in his career. Turtle, the house manager oozes so much attitude as he tries to show off that he is the player in the group that he provides lots of opportunities for humor in the scripts of Entourage.

Eric is a character who we like to empathize with because he takes the role of Vincent's manager. Because Vince and his entourage invaded Hollywood together, each is learning as he goes. Eric is a great example of a character who is actively sorting out the Hollywood system so she can become a great manager for Vincent. But there are ups and downs along the way.

Rounding out the cast is the powerful personality of Vincent's manager Ari Gold. Jeremy Piven who plays Ari brings such a high octane energy to the role that his addition to the cast really adds a lot of drama and excitement any time he is on screen. These characters are thrown together to navigate the fascinating Hollywood system with all the ups and downs that you might expect.

The reason Entourage is such a great television "addiction" is watching as these various personalities live and react to the new experiences they are having in Hollywood. But at the same time, they brought with them from New York a culture and their own individual styles that they have to stop and celebrate in an evening of just "being the boys" for a while.

The "society" these guys brought with them is very much their center and the "family" that gives them the ability to keep on going out there to conquer the vast Hollywood world. But when they come back together to laugh, fight, joke and relax, that is where the real strength of the show comes out in the relationships between these powerful personalities. Small wonder every member of the family will develop favorites to follow in this diverse cast.

Dexter and the Secrets of Harry Morgan

To those looking into the Morgan household from the outside, everything seemed perfect. Inside this perfect home was a loving mother, police officer father, daughter and adopted son. For the most part, many believed that Harry Morgan was a great man, father and detective and he was respected long after his death.

Before the end of season one, it became clear that Harry Morgan was not the honest man he seemed and his badge was more than a little tarnished. Viewers of this drama have often wondered if Harry did the right thing in teaching Dexter how to be the perfect killer, and Dexter wondered if the teachings of Harry no longer mattered.

Dexter began to unravel his adopted father’s long list of lies when he received the will of his recently deceased birth father. This news was a shock to Dexter as he was told by Harry Morgan that both of his parents had died before he was adopted.

Those who knew about the case of a dead mother and her two sons thought that Harry was the first person on the scene because he was closest to the docks. Dexter knew this was a lie after he found out that his birth mother and adopted father Harry knew each other before her death.

Dexter Morgan knew that Harry was a great man but his faith in him began to dwindle as he uncovered the lies that Harry had told him since childhood. He pretended not to know a full amount of Dexter’s past but he did. As an honest police officer, Dexter would have sworn on his life that Harry would never delete or vandalize police files but he did. Dexter lives with the unanswered question as to whether or not Harry hid the past to protect his adopted son or himself.

The world of Dexter would be shocked if they knew the truths that Harry hides. No one knew that instead of seeking help for his son, he chose to teach him how to be the perfect killer. One who would kill only those who deserved to die while he tried to prevent the detection of law enforcement.

Was Harry a good man who tried to help his disturbed son? Or someone who was so sick and tired of criminals getting away, that he trained his son to take care of the trash? Did he use Dexter for his own beliefs or did Harry do the best he could to protect the son that was not his by birth?

Rudy Cooper was understandably bitter about Harry as he did nothing to help him. Some fans of the show wonder how great Harry Morgan could be if he helped one child while he systematically ignored the other and tried to forget that he existed. To the ice truck killer, Harry was no hero, he wanted Dexter for himself. He took the chance that Dexter would be normal because he was so young, but seemed to know that Rudy would be damaged from the trauma he suffered the day his mother was killed in front of him.

It appears that Harry Morgan loved his adopted son Dexter but more often than not, it appeared that he spent most of the time teaching him to be a good killer or how to act normal. If Dexter was told that he had to smile and pretend he was normal so that he could blend in, how could Dexter feel that he was actually normal?

Another problem of the code of Harry is that he seemed to say that it was ok to kill. Dexter just had to kill bad people. Did it never occur to Harry that eventually Dexter could grow up to kill anyone regardless of guilt or innocence?

Since he did not get Dexter the professional help he so desperately needed, Harry could be considered an enabler. Harry Morgan was a hero to many but how many people died because of his code and how many more will die through the seasons of Showtime’s Dexter?
